How Do You See Hope?
Hope is found in the Bible 121 times. 53 of those times are NT.
Hope in the Greek; G1680 ἐλπίς From ἔλπω̄ which is a primary word (to anticipate, usually with pleasure); expectation (abstract or concrete) or confidence.
Rom 5:2-6 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
IN DUE TIME CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY. If Christ died for the ungodly, then if one soul was without salvation, Christ died without reason for that soul. Mainstream thinking is a soul has the chance of not seeing salvation. Really?
Rom 8:20-25 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Hope includes being delivered from corruption and tribulations. This means that a soul’s corruption and tribulations are a part of the “hope” that a soul has confidence in salvation while a soul rejoices in all of life’s experiences.
