Sin, Evil, Iniquity, Offense, Trespass

Job 10:6 That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin?

Iniquity in the Hebrew; H5771 עָווֹן עָוֹן From H5753; perversity, that is, (moral) evil: – fault, iniquity, mischief, punishment (of iniquity), sin. H5753 עָוָה A primitive root; to crook, literally or figuratively: – do wrong.

Sin in the Hebrew; H2403 חַטָּאת חַטָּאָה From H2398; an offence (sometimes habitual sinfulness), and its penalty, occasion, sacrifice, or expiation; also (concretely) an offender: – punishment (of sin), purifying (-fication for sin), sin (-ner, offering). H2398 חָטָא A primitive root; properly to miss; hence (figuratively and generally) to sin; by inference to forfeit, lack, expiate, repent, (causatively) lead astray, condemn: – make reconciliation.

Summarize; A wrong doing which is morally an offense leading one astray.

What is interesting in going into the depths of the words is in getting a deeper understanding and through the definitions a person can formulate their own take on what is being said. The advantage is in your going to the original word and translating it yourself from the Greek or Hebrew straight into English basing your understanding at the point of your spiritual place in this present time and in your own conscious truths.

Note; I have found that keeping an open mind about the understanding and knowledge in scripture, that my old ways of thinking and understanding were not wrong, but simply have grown to a deeper “spiritual” understanding. In time, many questions have been answered through searching and digging to align myself with scriptures.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

Simply stating that your repetitive offenses removes Christ from “life” in your present and are living in “death” because goodness and love are life.

Heb 6:4-6 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

2Pe 2:20 For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.

If your enlightening is in any great depth, you know how the kingdom works within you, how to live in the world but out of the world, and know that love is the basis for every second of your existence in all thoughts and actions.

Avoiding repetitive sin-evil-error-trespass-iniquity has to be denied the love that you have so diligently entertained.

First Sin; (sin a sin)

The second word sin definition is;

G266 ἁμαρτία From G264; sin (properly abstract): – offence, sin (-ful).

Therefore, the sin is no more then an offence that is an err and missing the mark.

When we look up the word offence which gives meaning to the word sin, offence in the Greek;

G3900 παράπτωμα From G3895; a side slip (lapse or deviation), that is, (unintentional) error or (wilful) transgression: – fall, fault, offence, sin, trespass. G3895 παραπίπτω From G3844 and G4098; to fall aside, that is, (figuratively) to apostatize: – fall away.

Rom 5:20-21 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

We can see from Romans 5:21-22 that even though sin has reined unto death, grace just as much reins unto eternity by Christ.

Gen 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The word wickedness and evil have the same definition.

Let me see if I have this right. God created your soul in perfection. All wisdom and knowledge in His Word. Not by choice, you are birthed into the sinful flesh. Why would a loving God in any way do anything ill to one of His souls?

It is only through the flesh as we know it where sin exists. We have to realize that we are the creators of evil and choose our own loves whether it be good or evil.
