Two Bodies

1Co 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

“Sown” in the Hebrew has the meaning “through the idea of extension.”

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Your soul-spirit was created with the Word written in your heart. God created you in perfection. The natural man or the outward man began in the Garden of Eden where you were “formed”, thus creating a distinction between the flesh-mind and the spirit-soul which was created in heaven.

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Quickening in the Greek is a revitalization. The revitalization is no more than the true spiritual self overcoming the mind-flesh self.

Scripture makes the distinction of two separate selves numerous times.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Jude 1:19 These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

2Co 4:16 For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

1Pe 3:4 But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

There is nothing spiritual with the natural body or the outward man.

Mat 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

False prophets are spiritually discerned.
