John 9:1-3 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth. And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.
A man blind from birth and the disciples ask what he has done to be born blind. Wouldn’t that indicate the disciples were referring to the man’s prior life?
Mat 16:13-16 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Why would the disciples think that after the beheading of John the baptist, some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets, a reincarnation into Christ?
